The CRA is a dependent special district formed under Florida Statutes Chapter 163, Part III, The Redevelopment Act. The Lake Worth CRA district was originally established in the late 1980's with a focus on the downtown area. In 2001, the City Commission expanded the district to include the Dixie Highway, 10th Avenue and 6th Avenue corridors, along with some adjacent blocks.
