The Lake Worth Community Redevelopment Agency is offering three grant programs which provide property owners with the opportunity to obtain assistance associated with the costs of doing enhancement and developing commercial properties within the CRA District. Specific details related to each grant program are set forth below. The Commercial Facade Grant is available to property owners
of new and existing businesses. The interior Grant and Public Infrastructure Grant Program are only available to new businesses in the CRA District. The CRA will accept grant applications from existing businesses for the Commercial Facade Grant Program from February 1, 2017 through February 28, 2017,and from new businesses for all three programs year round through September 30, 2017.
The Commercial Facade Grant Program is designed to improve the “curb appeal” of commercial businesses located within the CRA District. Property owners within the CRA District may qualify for up to $25,000 in grant funds to perform exterior improvements on an approved project. The Interior Grant Program offers property owners the ability to improve the inside of their establishments. The program is designed to encourage interior buildouts and permanent improvements which promote business expansion and job creation within the CRA District. Property owners within the CRA District may qualify for up to $10,000 in grant funds to perform approved interior improvements. This grant requires a 50% match from the applicant, and may be used for only new commercial structures. Download Interior Grant Program Application and Information
The Public Infrastructure Grant Program is intended for new large scale commercial development within the CRA District. Large scale commercial development is defined as development in which the project value exceeds $2,000,000. This grant will assist property owners and developers with the costs associated with making public infrastructure improvements associated with the development of the project. Applicants under this program may qualify for up to $100,000 in grant funds. This grant is available on a reimbursement basis only.
