Dia De Los Muertos
Dia de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a festive celebration in South American and Central America to honor deceased relatives, satirize the living, and entice the spirits to visit flower-laden altars with food “offerings.” Despite its name, it is considered a cheerful celebration rather than one of mourning.

EVENT BEGINS with “El Camino” Procession Walking Parade with Highland Elementary Band - 3:00pm to 3:30pm
Gathers in HATCH 1121 Courtyard, then proceeds west
down Lake Avenue to B Street, north to Lucerne Avenue,
and then east returning to HATCH 1121.
